Keep the spindles turning

A CNC machine waiting on an operator isn't making parts. A tending cell loads raw stock, unloads finished parts and keeps the machine running through breaks, shift changes and unattended hours.

Envision has its own in-house machine shop. We know what matters to a machinist: cycle time, workholding, chip management, first-part verification and easy changeovers.

Common questions

Will it work with our existing CNC machines?

Usually, yes. We interface with the machine's control for cycle start, door and workholding signals, and add automatic doors or automated workholding where needed. We'll review your machine models and options first.

Robot or cobot?

It depends on part weight, cycle time, floor space and whether operators work alongside the cell. We work with Fanuc industrial robots and Universal Robots cobots and will recommend one after reviewing your parts.

How many parts can run unattended?

That's set by the part staging — drawers, grid tables or conveyors sized to the run time you want between refills.

Can the cell handle multiple part numbers?

Yes, with recipe-based programs and quick-change grippers and staging fixtures.
